Multicultural Women’s Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Training

March 2 @ 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

This special training is for women from multicultural and multilingual communities in honor of Women’s History Month. This training is a safe space for women from diverse communities in Philadelphia with the goal of training women on recognizing the signs and symptoms of trauma and mental health and/or substance use challenges in our communities.

MHFA is a groundbreaking early intervention and public education program that teaches community members about behavioral health and how to assist a person experiencing a behavioral health problem. MHFA teaches the skills needed to identify, understand and respond to signs and symptoms of behavioral health challenges or crises. First Aid is administered until appropriate treatment and supports are received or until the crisis is resolved.

**This is a 1-day session. Attendance is required for the full eight (8) hour day in order to receive the Adult Mental Health First Aid 3 year national certification.**
